On Wednesday, 26, at 10 am, the IBGE will stream, live, the launch event of the Statistical Yearbook of Brazil at Casa IBGE, located on the ground floor of Palácio da Fazenda, downtown Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The event will also be streamed on the Institute’s social media channels (Youtube, Instagram, Facebook).
For the first time the Statistical Yearbook of Brazil (AEB) will be redesigned into a web page on the IBGE website, no longer having its printed version. “This innovation will help expand the number of users, by means of the dissemination and democratization of access to the necessary information for the knowledge of our reality and the exercise of citizenship.
The Yearbook encompasses results of several surveys such as the Population Census, the Vital Statistics, the Annual Survey of Industry (PIA), several agricultural statistics, information from the Central Registry of Enterprises (CEMPRE), monthly retail indexes, besides the main economic aggregates of the System of National Accounts (SCN), among many other indicators.
The event gives continuity to the presentation of updated information regarding territory characterization, including a glossary with the concepts investigated in surveys and that support them and standardized references from the sources used.
