Watch live this Thursday, December 19, at 10 am, the press conference with the results of the 2022 Population Census: Indigenous Persons - Major characteristics of persons and households, by urban or rural housing unit: Population results and 2022 Population Census: Indigenous Localities, at Casa Brasil IBGE, Fazenda Palace ground floor, located in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) downtown.
The release will be streamed through the IBGE´s social media as well. The results can be accessed on the IBGE portal and in platforms like SIDRA, Census Overview and Interactive Geographical Platform, and viewed through interactive maps in the last two ones.
In the first publication, the IBGE will consider the demography of indigenous persons living in Brazil, as well as literacy, birth registration, characteristics of households and family composition, organized according to the status (rural or urban) of their housing units. In the second publication, the results on indigenous localities will be released. The IBGE will map the indigenous localities and other places where indigenous persons are concentrated in Brazil.
