Continuous PNAD will have unprecedented version to monitor Covid-19 cases


The Ministry of Health and the IBGE entered into a partnership to implement an unprecedented version of the Continuous PNAD with a focus on the monitoring of Covid-19 in the national territory. It will be a longitudinal panel study, representative of the Brazilian population (monitoring the same group of people) with results of the new cases of flu syndrome for Brazil, Major Regions and Federation Units. PNAD-Covid will be done remotely, over the phone, by the IBGE in partnership with the Ministry of Health and will interview the same people for at least three months, with official statistics from Covid released weekly. More details about the survey and its schedule will be announced in the coming days.
