Population projection of Federation Units by simple age and sex
The IBGE released on April 6 the tables with the population projections for the Federation Units by simple age and sex, for the 2010-2060 period (Revision 2018). This information allows to calculate indicators based on the population of any age of interest, not only for five-year groups of age, as previously released. This measure aims at addressing the demand of the Brazilian society, which is living a severe crisis of public health, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
