On April 6, IBGE will release Vital Statistics: Complementary Study on the Capture-Recapture Technique, as Experimental Statistics
The IBGE will release Vital Statistics: Complementary Study on the Capture-Recapture Technique on April 6 at 10 AM. This technique is applied after pairing the databases of the Civil Registry (IBGE) and SIM/SINASC (Ministry of Health) to estimate the coverage of the Vital Statistics Systems.
The methodological advance reflected in this complementary study is the generation of new indicators, disagreggated by the variables used in the model to estimate the total number of live births and deaths. As a new disaggregation of the estimates obtained in the study, its results will be firstly released as Experimental Statistics.
