Revision of the 2017-2019 data of the System of National Accounts, by the Central Bank of Brazil


The System of National Accounts, following international recommendations in the manual System of national accounts 2008, SNA 2008, presents information about the generation, distribution and use of income in the country, besides information about asset accumulation, financial assets and the relationships between the national economy and the rest of the world.

It is a duty of the Central Bank of Brazil to estimate the share relative to the financial account and the financial assets account. Due to revisions of data in one of the internal sources used by the Bank, in the period 2017 - 2019, it was necessary to reestimate the results of this group for the aforementioned years, but with no impact on the other results of the National Accounts.
