On September 6, IBGE will release The Age of Brazil


On September 6 at 10 AM, the IBGE will release The Age of Brazil, the first results of the 2022 Population Census according to age and sex. The disaggregate information on population, according to age and sex, is key to the design and follow up of public policies, such as health, education, social security and labor market. In addition, it provides subsidies for the calculation of a series of demographic indicators, as well as it allows to assess changes in the demographic profile of the population over time.

The data will be available by simple age, five-year age groups and sex, for Brazil, Major Regions, States and Municipalities.
