The IBGE will release, at 10 am on August 22, 2024, the Population Projections of Brazil and Federation Units, for the period from 2000 to 2070, disaggregated by age and sex. Using the demographic components method, population data from the 2022 Population Census, new parameters of births and deaths, migration, as well as international migration data will be incorporated. In addition to the populations for the period 2000-2070, the demographic indicators intrinsic to the projections and the set of abridged life tables will be made available, used as input in calculating the annual populations.
