On April 9, at 9 am, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics will release the results of the updating of the seasonal-adjustment methods of the Monthly Survey of Trade - PMC.

The updating of the models of seasonal adjustment (parameters and adjustment factors) incorporates the most recent periods with the survey´s data available. Due to the use of new models of seasonal adjustment and estimation methods, the seasonal-adjusted series might have their values revised from the beginning of the time series until the most recent data - it will happen for all the time series whose new seasonal-adjustment model differs from that previously used.
