On May 23, IBGE will release 2022 Population Census: Persons with disability and Persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder: Preliminary sample results


On May 23, at 10 am, the IBGE will release the publication "2022 Population Census: Persons with disability and Persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder: Preliminary sample results". The release will include information related to the existence of disability and the types of functional difficulties - seeing, hearing, walking, grasping small objects and communicating. Moreover, results for persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder will be presented as well.

The data will be available for Brazil, Major Regions, States, Municipalities and other geographies based on Municipalities. The information will be disaggregated according to sex, color or race, age groups and schooling of the population, as well as to characteristics of housing units. The results can be checked on the IBGE portal and in platforms like SIDRA and Census Overview, the latter through interactive maps as well.
